Teaching Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's collection of stories The Thing Around Your Neck in my undergraduate contemporary-lit class at Rutgers and finding myself in want of detailed histories or other nonfiction accounts of modern Nigeria. These can be books, but more immediately I'm looking for articles—academic, journalistic, critical. Any ideas? Post in the comments and I'll add to my embryonic list below.
